Tredmill Workout

So you like to run, but you happen to live in an apartment on the 4th floor of a building downtown, and the traffic + air quality outside is such that you’d have to run around your own block 50 times just to get a decent workout, and by then the corner grocery store owner would likely have a restraining order against you. So what do you do? You forgo the lengthy court proceedings and try a treadmill workout instead.

Now, you may be asking yourself what is a treadmill workout? It’s running on a treadmill rather than on grimy dirty city streets. If you’re lucky enough to have a place in your neighborhood that you can run, you may still want to consider a treadmill instead. For one thing, how many days is it either raining or snowing in your area? If there are a significant number of those days, odds are you’ll be able to talk yourself out of running on those days. If you have a treadmill instead, you can run in comfortable climate control… and not get soaked.

The traditional argument against a treadmill workout goes something like this. It’s always the same, there’s no hills, no scenery, no variety. Well, treadmill manufacturers have heard those complaints and done what they can to address them. While you still can’t plug into a virtual reality world while running on the treadmill, a treadmill can now simulate running both up and down hills.
